ACR were originally founded in St Helens in 1969 but relocated to Knowsley last year. Positioning the business close to the boroughs main Business Parks has proved an ideal location for the company whose contracts extend both locally and nationally.

With a passion to continue to drive the business forward, Managing Director – Simon Robinson, acted on a recommendation to access the range of support services available from the Knowsley Growth Hub. Simon was particularly interested in the specialist tendering support available; Simon said “Most of our client base comes from repeat business or word of mouth recommendations; however we want to exploit every avenue to its full potential”.

As part of the Business Growth Programme the Knowsley Growth Hub arranged for Tender specialists Templeman Consultancy to meet with Simon Robinson and his Business Development Manager – Pam Case. The one to one support included reviewing some of the company’s previous tenders, updating the company’s policies and procedures, and imparting writing techniques to assist them with completing future tender applications.

Simon Robinson said, “Our tenders have become more focused and professional and we are now in line to be considered for two major contracts. The work carried out by Templeman Consultancy has greatly contributed to this and we are grateful for the support provided by the Knowsley Growth Hub”.
