Through the Northern Powerhouse initiative, and projects emerging from investment in infrastructure across the Liverpool City Region (LCR), there are huge prospects for businesses to generate growth, increase productivity and capacity, expand into existing or new markets, and, in turn, increase the number of jobs. Alongside these emerging opportunities can come risk, for example greater potential for disruption to supplies, suppliers and service providers.
Any incident or service interruption (whether it is large or small, natural or man-made, accidental or malicious) can have the potential to cause disruption to daily business activities. There is also the potential for impacting upon profitability, reputation and brand.
We also know that Public Sector purse strings will continue to be tightened, and businesses that contract with the Public Sector, and those that wish to supply a prime contractor, often find that their own profit margins are squeezed. At the same time, as part of the tender process all contracting companies must evidence their approach to financial and organisational resilience. That evidence also includes having a robust, tried and tested Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in place.
Without a BCP in place the ability to win contracts is reduced, and of course should an incident occur, the resultant response could be catastrophic on your business, your reputation and your brand.
To help businesses get ‘Match Fit’, C4 Resilience Ltd, in conjunction with Knowsley Council and Knowsley Chamber/Growth Hub will be holding a half day Business Continuity Masterclass.
This Masterclass will provide attendees with an overview of Business Continuity and explain how to develop your plans and supporting arrangements.Venue
