It was a night to celebrate business success at the annual Knowsley Business Awards on the 23rd November.
More than 660 guests were welcomed to the ceremony, the biggest audience to date bringing together members of the business community from Knowsley, North West and beyond to recognise the achievements of companies and individuals that are driving forward Knowsley’s economic growth.
The ceremony showcased highlights from the last year and some of the fantastic achievements and successes in the borough.
Edward Perry, Chair of the Knowsley Place Board and Director of Operations at Knowsley Safari and Hall, said: “It never ceases to amaze me, year on year, the sheer volume and range of business success stories coming out of Knowsley. This year’s awards once again reminded me what a great place Knowsley is to do business and makes me very proud to be part of this wonderful business community.”

A total of 15 awards were presented during the spectacular ceremony, which was held in the Grand Marquee in the grounds of Knowsley Safari. Seven businesses were also Highly Commended for their success and contribution to Knowsley’s growing success story. This year Knowsley has seen the highest rate of productively growth out of more than 350 places across the country, up 140% since 1997 the highest growth in the whole of the United Kingdom.

Nominations were judged by members of the Knowsley Place Board, which is made up of senior figures from across the North West, we would like to extend a special thank you for your support.
We would also like to thank businesses who donated prizes to the Mayors Charity Raffle & Auction and Barclaycard who matched all monies raised. A total of £8,987 will go to the Mayor of Knowsley’s chosen charities, Willowbrook Hospice and Lyndale Cancer Support.
