Public Firework Displays in Knowsley

Once again Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service will be taking the operational lead in coordinating 2 public firework displays on behalf of the Safer Knowsley Partnership with event management being undertaken by Unique Event Management Services Ltd.

Date / Time / Venue

Wednesday 30th October              1930hrs (+/- 10 mins)     King George V playing field - Longview Lane, Huyton

Tuesday 5th November                  1930hrs (+/- 10 mins)     Playing fields, Simonswood Lane, Kirkby

On each of the evenings a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) will be in place locally from 1830 - 2030hrs to manage the traffic and also maximise the safety of the public.

There is very much a family focus on each of the evenings and we would encourage Knowsley residents to visit an organised display. We would also wish members of the public not to bring their own fireworks and sparklers.

The event plans have been presented to the Safety Advisory Group and developed in principal by adhering to the following HSE guidance -  Working together on firework displays - A guide to safety for firework display organisers and operators.

Note: Police Crime Commissioner Jane Kennedy will be joining the community at the Kirkby event on the 5th November 2013.
