Women in Business

Women in Business

Our successful Women in Business Network meets regularly, and since its launch in March 2007, it has gone from strength to strength.

We actively encourage and support women who have started their own business, or those who are about to take the first step. The Network promotes and offers assistance to all women who are in business, and facilitates opportunities to develop business relationships. The Women in Business Network facilitates opportunities to develop, learn and grow.

Lesley Martin-Wright, Chief Executive of Knowsley Chamber says "Often women are among the most respected and most trusted members of their communities - this is also reflective in the business world.  Our aim is to support women in business and their own vital role in the business community".

Feedback: From Joy Lorenz "Black Frost"..... I am just writing to thank you for your hard work and support during 2010. Black Frost is a new business and I have accessed several of your events in 2010; I found them to be extremely invaluable to the growth of my business.

One particular event was "Woman's Enterprise Day" which I attended in November 2010. I met some lovely and determined business women. It was great to meet like minded people and the chance to promote my goods and services to other women and businesses. I met Suzanne from the Sandfield Natural Play Centre who gave an interesting talk on the work and expansion she is doing with her play centre in Whiston. I found we had common ground with the interest of using recycled and natural products wherever possible; this has led to a business contract. Thank you once again to the Knowsley Chamber. With events like the "Women's Enterprise Day" they really give local businesses a chance to expand and grow with new opportunities.
