At KPAIS we are following official UK government guidance for home care workers https://bit.ly/2TWF7cl Although we do not deliver personal care to service users, we do deliver a service that goes into people’s own homes for long-term delivery of shopping, cleaning and companionship.
We have made contact with all of our self-employed supporters, our active service users and their families and in partnership with them, we are making case-by-case decisions about continuing our calls in line with official advice re: increased handwashing and physical distancing
We are still taking referrals for shopping services, on 0151 449 3706 or shop@kpais.co.uk although face-to-face assessment visits are currently on hold – this will be carried out by phone. We don’t know how long this current crisis will last and we are working to make sure that our valuable service is still in place for service users in the future.
We are in regular contact with the local authority, with One Knowsley and with Knowsley Chamber and are delivering our services in the best possible way to safeguard staff, service users and their families.
The services we deliver are essential to the people we support and in light of that we are continuing with safe working practices in place.
