AFC Knowsley – Chairman and Treasurer Roles (Volunteer)

About Us
AFC Knowsley CIC, located at the Lord Derby Playing Fields, Knowsley Lane are
providers of grassroots football for over 375 local players since 1987.
Players range from 4 years old through to open age. Our 34 teams compete in a
number of leagues throughout our local counties and we provide a pathway of
football through to our open age 1st team who currently compete in the Cheshire
Premier League which is in the 11th Tier of English Football. In addition to the 375
registered players and 34 teams (girls, boys, mens and disabled), we also have
over 50 registered volunteers making us one of the largest grassroots clubs in
Liverpool.

We have recently been in receipt of a £1.2 million development at Lord Derby
Playing Fields. This was funded by the FA and a local redevelopment grant (901).
The funding was used to provide a purpose built pavilion, improve access and
redevelop the land to provide a quality playing surface and headline pitch which
includes a drainage system.

The club has vastly grown over the last 3 years in reflection to the outstanding
facilities we have and we recognise that we have only scratched the surface with
our potential. Whilst maintaining our core values which are Teamwork, Respect,
Community, Growth and Enjoy – we aim to double our growth over the coming
years in order to enhance our provisions to the local community.
