Kirkby Gallery Thursday 9 May, 5pm-8pm
Would you like to bid on an artwork in the Affordable Art Auction? There are two ways you can do this – register to bid and attend the auction on Thursday 9 May, or leave an absentee bid if you can’t make it on the night.
There are 145 artworks altogether in the Affordable Art Auction, currently on display at Kirkby Gallery as part of the 18th Knowsley Open Art Exhibition.
Each of the labelled images in this email are links to a visual catalogue of the lots in different categories, so you can browse from the comfort of your home.
All of the artists have a connection to Knowsley – they either live, work or study here. The Young Artists are all under 18, and show great levels of skill and enthusiasm..
Many of the Adult Artists have entered the Open exhibition annually, and for the majority of them, this is their first experience of selling their work at auction.
The pieces by the Artist Friends have been kindly donated by artists who have exhibited previously at Kirkby Gallery, including Willy Russell. This means that 100% of the hammer price of these artworks goes directly to our charitable fund, Friends of Kirkby Gallery & Prescot Museum to support our subsidised and free creative activities for the community.
Wine and soft drinks will be available to buy at the Affordable Art Auction so you can enjoy a glass of something while you have a last quick viewing of the artworks before the auction begins at 5pm.
