In its pursuit for culinary perfection Antonio’s Bar & Grill in Knowsley Village has announced that they are winners of the Good Food Awards 2022.
The Good Food Awards are one of the most widely known accolades a restaurant can achieve, apart from a coveted Michelin star of course, and they don’t hand those out too easily.
The awards are by invitation only and each year the judges hand pick selected eating establishments to join the awards programme recognising hard-working teams who strive for culinary excellence within their field.
So if your lucky to dine in somewhere that has a Good Food Award, you can be pretty certain you’re about to try some delicious food.
This accolade means a huge amount to the team behind the eatery as it is voted for by their guests, who continue to support everything they do.
Earlier in the year the team scooped their first award, ‘the Tripadvisor travellers choice award’ and the restaurant now proudly sits in the Number 1 position as best restaurant in Merseyside and most romantic restaurant on Merseyside on the Tripadvisor platform.
The owners behind this amazing story are humbled by the Restaurant’s success and very much believe that behind everything they do is their amazing team who love what they do and share the owners passion in thriving to become an independent multi award winning restaurant in a little village called Knowsley.
The restaurant will never be about the numbers of covers it can serve, but more about providing an intimate dining experience where each guest feels so welcome as if it was there own home and leave us as friends.

Antonio’s is housed in one of the former Earl of Derby Estate Cottages. Located in the historic village of Knowsley which name occurs in the Domesday book of 1086 as Chenulveslei ere in 1589.
The village of Knowsley was a creation of the Latham / Stanley family, better known as the Earl of Derby with their vast estate and residence at Knowsley Hall. King Henry VIII visited in 1495 and Shakespeare is said to have performed a play here is 1589.
