Ashlar Construction (NW) Limited is delighted to have been appointed as the Principal Contractor to deliver Everton in the Community’s (EITC) ‘The People’s Place’ facility.
Situated on Spellow Lane, just 500 metres from Goodison Park, ‘The People’s Place’ will be a dedicated purpose-built mental health centre that will provide an overarching service to anyone, regardless of age, gender or location, to promote positive mental health alongside support related to suicide awareness and prevention.
The building will provide sport and physical activities designed to improve mental and physical wellbeing, whilst offering education and development opportunities. ‘The People’s Place’ will also be a hub for community engagement and will work closely with external organisations to signpost and raise awareness of mental health support.
Ashlar will undertake the challenging project under a JCT Design and Build Contract and the People’s Place project will complete a trilogy of projects undertaken by Ashlar on the Goodison Campus which already includes ‘The People’s Hub’ and the ‘Cruyff Court’ football pitch.
We shall once again engage the design services of Condy Lofthouse Architects, Curtins Engineers and ECE (M&E Engineers), with whom we are confident of further strengthening our long-standing working relationship with Everton in the Community.
