Autism Friendly Levins

Levins Solicitors are breaking new ground by becoming an autism friendly firm. The firm, based on Rupert Road, Huyton has been established for 32 years and offers a full range of legal services.

One of the partners, Tracy Morgan, has personal experience of a close family member with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).  Her aim is to ensure that as many places as possible are autism friendly.

Minor changes can reduce the stress levels of someone with autism and make trips out accessible.  For example, Tracy recently visited St Helens Rugby League, Totally Wicked Stadium, with her family.  The staff adapted the day in order that it was suitable for a young person with specific sensory needs.  This allowed the whole family to enjoy the day. Without the adaptations, the family would have had to come away.

Levins have sent sent staff on training and are a Liverpool Autism Champion.  The firm has also worked in conjunction with Autism Together to design a social story/visual support for visitors to the office.  This is a visual aid for those people who find it less stressful to plan ahead.

Tracy Morgan, Partner at Levins said “ I am delighted that the firm is leading the way by being autism friendly. It is important to me that we are accessible to all clients.  Lots of shops and companies are becoming more autism friendly and it’s time all businesses followed suit.   I hope that by working with Knowsley Chamber we can spread the message across Knowsley”
