BACKGROUND
BDO LLP has been commissioned to deliver support and advice to SMES in all sectors in relation to business resilience / EU exit consultancy. The aim of this work is to ensure that businesses across the North West have access to information, advice and support to enable them to be as ready as possible for the UK exiting the EU and are supported to drive resilience through their business so they may thrive through and after this transition.
Brexit Readiness Audit/Diagnostic: For those businesses considered as being potentially significantly impacted by EU exit. The business will be provided with a Brexit Readiness Audit/ Diagnostic service by BDO and taken through a checklist. This will be followed by an action plan for the business with key issues to address.
The audit process is expected to require approximately 12 hours of adviser time for client meeting and report/action plan production.
Business Resilience Advice: In addition to preparing specifically for EU exit and transition, BDO LLP will provide SMEs with guidance and action planning on becoming more generally resilient and efficient through application of sound financial management and controls, efficient business processes, contracting etc.
BDO will support SMEs in developing their resilience. This advice would not be specific to Brexit and could be provided through both 1:1 and small group sessions as required. Each session will be led by a Partner and/or Director along with qualified members of the BDO team.
