The United Colors of Benetton childrenswear store has opened in Kirkby Town Centre this month.
The store at 25 St Chad’s Parade opened on Thursday 10 March 2022.
Owner and Director Clare Vaughan said “I’m delighted at how the new store has been
progressing with our internal fit-out. I’ve had a lot of interest from people wanting to know when
our Kirkby store will open and I’m delighted to confirm that we are now open for business.”
“I’m really looking forward to welcoming customers to our Kirkby store and can’t wait to be part
of Kirkby’s ongoing transformation. It truly is an amazing town, with lots of regeneration
delivered and much more to come. I’m really looking forward to getting know people and being
part of the local community.”
Councillor Tony Brennan, Regeneration and Economic Development Cabinet Member, added,
“I’m delighted to welcome Benetton to Kirkby and I know this is something our residents want.
We asked two years’ ago what makes a good town centre, and as well as a supermarket and
more places to eat and drink, people also asked for more clothes shops.
“Kirkby really undergoing an amazing transformation. The retail development is now open and
home to Morrisons, Home Bargains, KFC and Taco Bell with plans also progressing for a gym
operator to be based at the site.”
“Our plans are also progressing for the cinema scheme, complete with food and drink outlets.
“This really is an exciting time for Kirkby and I’m so proud of what has been achieved over a
short period of time.”
