Care Merseyside is the UK’s first GP-funded social prescribing charity based in the Knowsley area of Merseyside.
Social Prescribing is a means of enabling GPs and other frontline healthcare professionals / third party sectors to refer patients with any kind of social issues to us, in order to improve their health and well-being.
Our services help people in need, whether they are struggling with mental health issues, anxiety, depression, loneliness, weight loss, debt, unemployment or any other social issues. We offer a holistic and whole person approach to social prescribing offering a range of social activities and interventions for people within the community to compliment NHS care.
Care Merseyside is celebrating and fundraising at a special charity function on Saturday, June 8th 2019. The Summer Solstice Fundraiser will take place at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool City Centre from 7pm – late.
On the evening we will be joined by our clients and social prescribing partners who will speak about how social prescribing has changed their lives for the better.
Tickets include a delicious four course meal, champagne reception, fantastic raffle prizes and top notch entertainment from Mason Brown Connection& DJ throughout. All proceeds from ticket purchases and contributions on the evening will be donated to Care Merseyside. This money will directly impact the lives of people within the local community through social prescribing activities.
