Caring Connections is delighted to announce Paul Growney has been recognised as a Chartered Companion with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). It is one of the highest accolades that can be bestowed on a leader.
Chartered Manager status recognises exceptional management skills and is awarded to people who are committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Chartered Companionship is only bestowed on individuals who have consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership within their organisations and sectors.
Chartered Companions commit to working with CMI to achieve its mission of better led and managed organisations, and accept personal responsibility for developing a new generation of inspiring leaders and managers. The Companion community aims to reflect society across the UK and worldwide.
Companions are nominated by the CMI community but senior strategic leaders, or those with outstanding contributions to theory and teaching in the field of management and leadership, are welcome to nominate themselves should they wish to further commit to improving society and business.
Research shows that there are groups of people underrepresented in senior management and leadership, which constrains the productivity delivered through diverse leadership teams. Individuals who demonstrate a substantive record of management and leadership, not necessarily all at the top level but clearly on a pathway where the next step will be reaching senior strategic level, should be nominated or choose to put themselves forward.
