Knowsley based engineering company, Central Group has been recognised for its work as ‘Service Centre of the Year’, winning one of the main categories at the annual AEMT (Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trade) awards.
Central Group were one of three companies to be shortlisted for the Service Centre of The Year category for an extensive improvement programme which has been pushed through the business. The work carried out by the team has completely changed the business leadership model which is delivering improvements across the core values of the business, Service, Quality, Wellbeing and Safety. Central was announced as the category winner at the recent award ceremony which was held as a celebration of business and professional excellence.

The AEMT is an association which represents companies throughout the UK in electrical and mechanical service and repair industry. It supports and promotes engineering excellence within the industry by providing its members with codes of practice, training support, networking opportunities and representation in international standard committees.
The recent award ceremony included five categories covering Product of the Year, Project of the Year, Service Centre of the Year, Commitment to Skills & Training, Rising Star and Supplier of the Year.
