Chamber Member employee hit with devastating news

One of Knowsley Chambers newest financial services members has shown the strength of their team by pulling together to help one of their work colleagues.

Michelle Jones, based in the Liverpool Exchange Station branch, recently received the devastating news that her four-year-old daughter Violet has been diagnosed with the rare degenerative Batten Disease.

Batten disease is an incurable condition which affects the nervous system. At the end of last year, the NHS approved treatment that slows down the progress of the disease, and Violet has been accepted for this. However, due to the rarity of the condition, the treatment is only available at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Michelle’s family will need to travel to London every other week to receive the treatment, and as such, need support with the associated travel and accommodation costs.

Michelle’s sister has set up a Go Fund Me page that can be found through the below link. Any contributions are greatly appreciated.
