The Forshaw Group has been as busy as Santa’s elves to help bring Christmas cheer to families across Knowsley, as part of a festive gift appeal by Skyline Roofing & Building Limited.
A roofing company based in Liverpool and sub-contractors to The Forshaw Group, Skyline Roofing & Building Limited is putting together Christmas hampers for struggling families, nominated by local schools and children’s services. These hampers will include essential foods, Christmas treats, and presents, all donated by people and business across the region, to help support families in need over the festive period.
The Forshaw Group has donated nearly 30 gifts to the appeal for the families and their children, with festive food and biscuits, and toys including a remote-control car, a mini drum kit, cosy slippers and pyjamas. These gifts have been provided for families and their children aged from 5-16 years old, so that they will have something to open on Christmas Day.
Kimberly Meadows, a Surveyor at The Forshaw Group, liaised with Skyline Roofing & Building Limited for the donation of the gifts and toys from members of The Forshaw Group. The presents have recently been handed over to the to be packed up into hampers, ready to bring Christmas joy to their recipients.
Kimberley said: “It’s been a pleasure to be involved and it has provided us with a wonderful opportunity to help families who have been through such a difficult year, at a time when they need as much festive cheer as possible. To know that the children will have gifts to enjoy on Christmas Day, and that families will not have to go hungry, makes this such a worthwhile cause.”
Liam Hanlon, managing director at The Forshaw Group, stated: “We are always looking for ways to support charitable initiatives and give back to the local community, and we were delighted to be approached by Skyline Roofing & Building Limited to do just that for their Christmas appeal.
