The club was founded in 1987 and was awarded the FA Charter Standard Development Club by Liverpool County FA in 2002.
The Club is an all inclusive Football Club and provides opportunities for girls, boys, young people, men and women between the ages of six and eighteen years of age through to open age for both men and women to receive coaching and play competitive football.
In 2021 in line with the Clubs new facilities development (see pic below), the decision was made to change the Clubs name to “AFC KNOWSLEY” and was awarded the FA Accredited Club “part England Football” award.
