Lyndale Cancer Support Centre

Lyndale Cancer Support Centre provides support to people affected by Cancer, their family and friends.

Our services include one-to-one support, group support and activities, complementary therapies, relaxation sessions for men and women, yoga, beauty therapies, craft group, art and computer classes etc.

We have a Ramblers group which goes out once a month on a 3-4 mile walk, plus a culture rulture group visiting local historical sites and the theatre.

Lyndale was founded in 1983 and has built up strong links with all the local hospitals, hospices, GP’s and health professionals across Merseyside.

We are a solely volunteer-led charity (the only one in the North West) with 45 volunteers. They have had Cancer themselves or cared for or lost a close family member or friend to Cancer.

Lyndale is dependent on grants, trusts, donations or bequests, with a small grant from the CCG.

We arrange fund-raising events as all of our services are free of charge to members. We pay for 4 fully qualified therapists, the beauty therapist and art and computer teachers.

We apply to local business for donations, also for grants specifically for Cancer charities and training for our volunteers.
