The Charity Funding Debate 2020

November 18, 2020, 8:45 - 10:00 Zoom - by invitation

Free Roundtable Forum

The PH Holt Foundation is an independent grant-maker helping to create a better future for the people of Merseyside.

For the last seventy years its funding has supported many local causes, improving the lives for thousands of people in Merseyside communities.

The Foundation particularly welcomes applications from registered charities based in the Borough of Knowsley, whether small organisations, or well established charities responding to genuine need. There is no standard grant as each application is assessed on its own merit, but the maximum request considered is for £10,000.

This Roundtable debate will introduce the    Foundation and provide an overview of its funding themes and priorities. Charities can ask how best to approach the Foundation and the sort of activities it supports.

As the pandemic is bringing great change across the world, what has been the impact of this turmoil on our local communities? How has social need and demand been affected, and what measures are needed locally over the next twelve months to help people through? What support does the voluntary sector need to best respond?

This event has been organised by Knowsley Chamber as we look at ways to support local charities during these challenging and unprecedented times.
