Sophie McDonald is a Trainee Health Psychologist with experience in developing and delivering psychological interventions targeting a wide variety of health conditions to support service users in achieving positive health outcomes.
Sophie is delivering this workshop as part of a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology, giving her expertise in the formulation of psychoeducation sessions that educate on and provide guidance for managing health and wellbeing.
This session will examine the bi-directional process between the foods you eat and how you feel. Firstly, we will explore the ways in which the foods we eat and the context our eating affects how we feel physically and emotionally. We will then explore how our mood influences our eating behaviours.
The interactive session will provide an understanding of eating behaviours and how they can affect us in our personal and professional lives. It will provide greater insight and awareness into the ways in which eating behaviours and emotion regulation are interlinked.
The session aims to provide teaching that will support people in making health related behaviour changes to help to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
This is a free event however there will be a £25.00 charge for non attendance.
