Former NEXT retail store to receive development overhaul by The Momentum Group

The Momentum Group has been appointed by real estate investment managers, Redevco, to deliver a transformational programme of works at the former Next premises, 18-20 Church Street, Liverpool.

The 100,000 sq ft site will be the subject of an exciting new development that aims to reconfigure the space to enhance its attraction to a wider range of potential occupiers.

The space, formerly Next’s flagship store in the city centre, was vacated during the lockdown. Property owners, Redevco, invited tenders from a number of contractors earlier this year. The contract was awarded to The Momentum Group due to their experience in maximising value in city centre retail premises and their ability to deliver the project on behalf of the client to a demanding programme.

Speaking for Redevco, Portfolio Director, Andrew Foulds said ‘We received a number of high-quality tenders for this project but felt the Momentum Group offered the best all round service and value for money to meet our requirements. It is really useful to have a respected local Liverpool team working on the ground, with local knowledge in the city centre retail sector.’

Chris Renshaw, Co-founder and Director at The Momentum Group added ‘We are delighted and thrilled to be working with Redevco.  It is our first project with them and a great opportunity to showcase our services, providing the very best experience for our client, and helping to create an exciting new development in one of the most prominent buildings in the city centre.’

The appointment adds to The Momentum Group’s growing portfolio of clients following recent property management and facilities management instructions.
