Formwork Direct International Ltd has received funding from MSIF to assist with the relocation of the business to a larger site in Knowsley to accommodate the company’s continued growth and increased demand.
The company specialises in supplying new and used formwork systems for sale and hire to construction supply chains around the world. Their services are not just limited to formwork systems but also include falsework systems, propping and shoring, concrete accessories, safety systems, concrete chemicals, scaffolding and bespoke systems.
Formwork Direct also supply a wide-range of contractors, predominantly in the UK but also internationally, further providing their systems with the added benefit of in-house engineering and design; creating a unique ‘one-stop’ service to clients.
Established in April 2010, Formwork has grown its base and services year-on-year, enabling the business to invest heavily in hireable assets which have now become the company’s largest and most profitable branch of business.
Company Directors, Carl Kidman, and Steve Dempsey have extensive experience throughout the contracting sector and along with the recent addition of Operations Director John Owens, creates a strong and balanced management team. To keep up with the growing demand and to help services run more efficiently, the directors knew a larger site was needed.
By working with Jim Moore [MSIF Investment Manager], Formwork Direct was able to secure the funding needed to complete their move to the larger site on Hornhouse Lane in the popular Knowsley Industrial Park.
The new site provides the business with 2.6 acres of land which will allow more efficient working practices and the ability to provide increased value to their clients.
