The Forshaw Group dares to dip for charity

Whilst many of us were feasting on leftover turkey and watching TV with a box of chocolates balanced on our laps, the team at The Forshaw Group braved the cold to take part in the annual Boxing Day Dip – raising over £500 for local cerebral palsy charity, Stick n Step.

Despite freezing temperatures, the Boxing Day Dip took place at West Kirby Marine Lake and saw a crowd of about 100 swimmers plunging into the lake.

Participants were all socially distancing, staying safe in their bubbles, and taking all necessary precautions against Covid-19, so that the usually sociable Boxing Day Dip was very different to previous year’s.  However, festive spirits were high and team members of The Forshaw Group were keen to dive in as part of its fundraising initiatives. The company is delighted to have raised over £500 for cerebral palsy charity, Stick ‘n’ Step, who The Forshaw Group have supported for many years.

Liam Hanlon, managing director at The Forshaw Group, commented: “Despite the ongoing pandemic causing havoc for businesses and charities throughout the year, it was fantastic for us to still be able to take part in the Boxing Day Dip.

“The Boxing Day Dip was the culmination of a very successful year’s fundraising by The Forshaw Group for various good causes. We are incredibly proud of our team for helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds in 2020, and we look forward to our upcoming fundraising events throughout 2021.”

The Forshaw Group’s next charity event will include its full calendar of events for 2021.
