Free webinar on awareness of learning disabilities and neurodiverse conditions

Since January 2021, Knowsley Council and Liverpool Council have delivered a free one-hour webinar to Liverpool City Region employers and organisations to raise awareness of learning disabilities and neurodiverse conditions including dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

The webinar has been accessed by 325 people from across 78 different organisations and feedback has been extremely positive.

Charlie Barnard, Tenancy Support & Sustainment Manager at ForHousing attended the June webinar and could see how it would be beneficial for other staff within his organisation: “I found the webinar training session very informative and the contents really engaging. I think the mixture of video, the presentation and on-line poll was interesting and appealing. Both presenters came across as very passionate people and were very knowledgeable within the subject matter.

I have many years’ experience with working with tenants who present in crisis with a variety of vulnerabilities and diagnosis. I can say I gained a variety of knowledge from attending. Attendance is well worth an hour of anyone’s time. Thank you for the opportunity.”

The webinars are now being offered to individual businesses and organisations and can accommodate up to 60 staff per session.
