Full-house at our Knowsley Manufacturing Network Event

On 12 November the Knowsley Manufacturing Network put on an official Digital Manufacturing Week Fringe Event. Despite horrendous weather all the seats were taken at the event which was kindly hosted by the team at the Halewood Transmission Plant.

The Knowsley Manufacturing Network has been hugely successful over the past three years helping local manufacturing companies to share best practice, source advice for innovation and growth, and make better use of technology to improve efficiency.

The event took place in the Centre of Excellence at the Getrag Ford Transmission plant in Halewood.

Rod Wah, MD of Beverston Engineering, and Chair of the Knowsley Manufacturing Network opened the event with a warm welcome and introduction to our speakers. A big thank you to each of our speakers:

Simon Reid, The Growth Platform – Simon provided details of Digital Manufacturing Week taking place in Liverpool and provided an update on the successor to LCR Industry 4.0.

Philip Boden, Area Manager, Getrag Ford Transmission – Philip shared a fascinating video of the Transmission plant and the focus on digital manufacturing and continuous improvement.
