The Huyton community is set to benefit from a series of exciting new initiatives hosted by AHFO (An Hour for Others), aimed at boosting digital skills and bringing local residents together. Huyton IT Suite Open Day – 6th November 2025 Residents are invited to attend the Huyton IT Suite Open Day on Thursday 6th November 2025, taking place at the AHFO Community Hub Huyton (above the charity shop), 7 Sherborne Square, Huyton Village, L36 9UR.

The event will showcase the new IT facilities available for community use, providing opportunities for people to learn more about digital courses, online services, and free resources to help improve computer skills.

The new IT suite is part of AHFO’s commitment to creating accessible spaces that empower local people with valuable skills for employment, education, and everyday life. The initiative has been supported by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, the UK Government, and VOLA.

Weekly Coffee Afternoons & Brekkie & Brew – Starting 4th & 7th November

In addition to the IT launch, AHFO is also inviting residents to take part in regular social sessions designed to strengthen community connections and reduce isolation.

The Coffee Afternoons will take place every Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., starting Tuesday 4th November, while the Brekkie & Brew sessions will run every Friday from 10:30 a.m. to midday, beginning Friday 7th November.

Both will be held at the AHFO Community Hub Huyton (above the furniture shop), 1 Sherborne Square, Huyton Village, L36 9UR.

Funded by Livv Housing Group, these gatherings offer a relaxed and welcoming environment where residents can enjoy a chat, a hot drink, and a chance to connect with neighbours.

Building a Stronger Community

AHFO’s motto, “Together we are strong,” reflects its ongoing mission to inspire positive change, unity, and wellbeing across Merseyside. These new projects demonstrate how collaboration between local organisations can create lasting community benefits.
