New Chamber member, JFM (Liverpool) Ltd have announced that they have become members of the UK’s Trade Association the safety industry, The British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF), and part of the BSIF’s Registered Safety Supplier Scheme (RSSS).
JFM are currently the only locally owned company in Knowsley area to be Registered members of the BSIF.
BSIF membership emphasises JFM’s commitment to safety not only within the workplace, but with any Workwear & PPE that JFM supply to customers. In simple terms this means that JFM are fully committed to providing products and services with all the necessary due diligence needed in line with current legislation.
To this end JFM recently completed their annual Audit under the BSIF ‘Registered Safety Supplier Scheme’ The audit included:
– JFM products being spot check testing to check for ongoing compliance.
– JFM staff undertaking a publicly level II recognised OFQUAL/BSIF qualification in PPE/Safety.
– JFM are also audited through a compliance protocol to ensure our products are delivered to our customers in accordance with the latest PPE regulation 2016/425.
The three points above outline JFM’s commitment to safety, underpinned with the quality assurance statement on the JFM website.
Commenting on membership of the BSiF, JFM’s Director Kevin Maloney said: “During research into JFM’s market in 2019, JFM became aware of the BSIF and the importance of their role within the workwear, Safety and PPE market. The philosophy behind the BSIF is to ensure compliance to Safety/PPE Standards, influencing legislation, testing products to maintain claimed standards, and by ensuring where possible, sub-standard products are removed from the market. Which protects lives and enhances safety for all.
These were all key aspects for JFM becoming BSiF members. Our BSIF membership and being a Registered Safety Supplier, will provide all JFM customers with the confidence and assurance needed when considering which supplier to use. We will certainly be keen advocates of the benefits and philosophy of the BSiF”.
