The Forshaw Group (TFG) hosted their first post pandemic open day for the Knowsley Apprenticeship Partnership and welcomed students, parents, and teachers from All Saint’s High School.
Knowsley Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Lesley Martin-Wright explained to the audience the importance of young people engaging in the skills training for the future of our industries, busineses and communities.

Headmaster Mr Tony McGuinness spoke passionately about the opportunities being offered by this successful partnership between schools and businesses.
Business leaders from TFG, Structec, Horizon Flooring & JJ Smith explained the roles on offer to the students and the requirements from them to be selected.
The students then took part in several practical demonstrations and collaborative presentations before watching a video biography of Mike Dryhurst’ s five-year apprentice journey from leaving school to attaining his HNC.
Sam a first-year apprentice from JJ Smith talked to the students about his transition from school to the workplace before a general Q&A to finish off the day.
