Knowsley Bus Network Change Proposals Discussion

Knowsley Bus Network Change Proposals Discussion – Online Zoom event – 13 July, 3pm to 4pm

Pressures facing bus services including reduced passenger numbers on some bus routes and rising levels of inflation continue to be felt in the Liverpool City Region.  Funding from central government, which has been supporting bus services, is due to end in the autumn of this year.  As a consequence of this, it is proposed that changes to bus services in the Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral are introduced on 4th September 2022.

This online discussion event will give you an opportunity to hear about the proposed changes in Knowsley and share your comments and concerns before the changes are confirmed and published. Attached is a summary of the proposed changes.

Through the Liverpool City Region Bus Alliance we are engaging with local businesses and bus users on the proposed changes to gather your feedback. This will then be used to understand the impact of the proposals and inform the final plans.

Local feedback through this event and the commonplace website will close for comments on 10th July.  The comments will then be considered by The LCRCA Bus Alliance and the confirmed changes will then be published on 1st August.

Knowsley Chamber will host this online discussion and we will be joined by representatives from the Combined Authority / Merseytravel, Arriva and Stagecoach.
