A Knowsley construction company that delivers electrical services all over the UK is hoping to grow its customer base in the borough by offering free electrical services to Knowsley Chamber members.
Sterling Service’s electrical team is offering free electrical installation reports (EICR) to the first 50 organisations that are members of the Chamber.
The team, based on Knowsley’s Industrial Estate, will assess electrical installations of up to 36 circuits to make sure they’re safe and meet workplace safety laws.
Steve Robinson, who heads up Sterling’s electrical team and is a qualified electrician with 20 years’ experience, said: “Our team works all over the UK supporting customers in education, healthcare, retail and social housing which is fantastic but it would be great to have more customers closer to home.
“Most of us live in Knowsley and Sterling has been on the estate since 1985 but we seem to be one of the best kept secrets.
“We work with some of the country’s top schools, universities and major supermarkets and the like but many businesses on our doorstep haven’t heard of us.
“That’s why we thought it would be good to support local businesses through the Chamber by giving them something for free with no obligation to use us for future work – but hopefully they might.”
The first 50 organisations that apply for the EICR testing (which usually costs between £15-20 per circuit) will also be entered into a draw for one of them to win a free EV installation charging point (to be announced after the EICRs have been completed).
Sterling Services is one of only a few companies with the capability and accreditation to carry out both the underground (groundworks) and above ground works for EV charging points without the need for sub-contractors.
Existing customers leading the way on EV charging through Sterling include Liverpool FC and Grupo Bimbo, the group behind leading brands including New York Bakery bagels.
