Listening to all voices!

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is in the process of developing its Local Industrial Strategy. To ensure the strategy is steered from voices across the city region this event has been organised in partnership with Fairness and Social Justice Advisory Board, an independent body established by Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram to ensure a full range of diverse voices, including those with protected characteristics or who experience discrimination, have a voice at the table on the important decisions for our city region.

Thursday 10 October 2019

16:30 – 19:00

1 Mann Island, Liverpool, L3 1BP

Join Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and officers of the Combined Authority to hear about the work so far and to give your views on what’s important going forward .

Founded on a collaborative approach with our partners, the Local Industrial Strategy will articulate how we will build on our distinctive economic strengths, tackle our challenges, and develop transformational policies to unlock growth and be a catalyst to the development of an inclusive economy.

Our Local Industrial Strategy will be focused across four key priorities:

• Good work, health and wellbeing for all;

• Vibrant and connected communities;

• More businesses innovating and growing;

• Clean growth.

The strategy will be underpinned by evidence, and we are building a strong understanding of the City Region’s economic strengths and assets. This is summarised in a Position Statement, published in July 2019. You can read that statement here :-

Please join us to ensure that the voices of our diverse communities from across Liverpool City Region are articulated and integrated into the next stage of our work.
