Concept Hygiene is entering what its new leader describes as a “really exciting period,” following the appointment of Neil Mathieson as the company’s new head. Neil’s appointment marks his first move into the privately-owned commercial sector, following an impressive near 30-year career with major corporations. His extensive background includes two decades with American industrial giant General Electric, followed by seven years at leading UK healthcare software provider EMIS Health Group

He joins Concept Hygiene under the ownership of Keygreen Group, a Dublin-based company that recently acquired the Kirkby-based business. The acquisition marks the start of a new chapter for the long-standing Chamber member, which has built a strong reputation for reliability and quality in providing hygiene and safety managed services across Liverpool and Knowsley.

For the past five to six years, Concept Hygiene has seen steady, consistent growth under its previous ownership. Now, with Neil at the helm, the company is setting its sights on a more ambitious future.

“The business has enjoyed a long period of commercial and operational stability, the major result of which has been a really well-served regional customer base that can’t speak highly enough of the staff, the service and the overall package that Concept Hygiene provides,” said Neil.

Neil’s focus is on strengthening the team and driving further commercial success. His vision is to transform Concept Hygiene into a regional powerhouse within the washroom and hygiene industry.

“Across our three primary product ranges of Washroom, Logo-Mat and Defibrillator Managed Services, we are ready to continue to progress and grow sales across the Knowsley region,” he added. “I’m really looking forward to continuing to work with our local team, our owners and of course our loyal customer base, as well as getting more involved with colleagues and members from Knowsley Chamber. We have dedicated local staff with over 20 Operators working throughout the area.”

With strong local roots, a trusted reputation, and now renewed investment and leadership, Concept Hygiene is well-positioned for the next stage of its growth journey.
