TASK is looking for reputable, reliable tradespeople to sign up to the service. TASK has been providing a service to older and vulnerable Knowsley residents for the last 18 years and is now looking to recruit more local traders to widen the service offer.
During the pandemic, our elderly community are relying more on the service that TASK provides. They don’t want to go searching for someone who may ‘rip them off’ or won’t take the necessary precautions when entering their home. TASK is a simple concept. Knowsley residents call TASK and describe the service/job they need doing. Task provides the caller with the names and numbers of 3 tradespeople, who have been checked by the TASK team. The caller can then make a choice of who they use.
Sole traders interested in being part of TASK are required to have a DBS check together with references. There is a small annual fee of £100 (slightly higher for businesses with several employees) which if you are a start-up business, can be paid on a quarterly basis. An ID badge is then provided and the TASK team can assist in promoting your business in Knowsley.
