Spec Savers Belle Vale throws big bash to mark tenth birthday

Spec Savers optician and audiologist in Belle Vale has celebrated 10 years in business with a big bash for local people. Specsavers in Belle Vale’s 10th birthday included street entertainers, a raffle and goody bags for party attendees.

Central to the celebration was a big number 10 cake, cut by special guest Rosie Cooper, Labour Candidate for West Lancashire.

Rosie says: ‘‘The store is a key part of the local community and directors Adam and Mathew as well as the great team behind them, provide very important, conveniently located healthcare services for local people’ The store opened its doors in 2009 and has become a vital support to the community ever since, regularly receiving accolades for its optical and audiology care and customer service.

Over the years, the store has also played a key role in supporting local schools and sports groups via educational talks, donations of hi-vis vests and sponsorship.

Director Adam Ormrod says: ‘I’ve worked at this store since it first opened and have helped to grow the team and the services offered ever since.

‘Mathew Robinson, retail director at the store, came on board a couple of years back and has been a total asset ever since. We are looking forward to the next 10 years supporting the community and delivering key services here in Belle Vale!’

Locals were also treated to use of a free glasses MOT station throughout the day, for small repairs and adjustments on their frames.

The store also offered free eye tests all week to local people, to help mark the occasion.

*the first Specsavers store within a Sainsbury’s supermarket in Merseyside was at Rice Lane in Liverpool.
