Staybridge Suites Liverpool continues its award-winning ways

Whilst Staybridge Suites Liverpool may have been the first branded extended-stay hotel to open in Europe 11 years ago, it’s long-standing team and the pioneering spirit of its owners – Cycas Hospitality – are certainly not ones to rest on their laurels.

Hot on the heels of winning IHG’s award for most improved Guest Experience and being the international hotel group’s second highest ranked hotel across all of Europe in terms of overall guest satisfaction levels, in May this year Staybridge Suites Liverpool was once again crowned Serviced Apartment of the Year at the 2019 Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.

Consistently ranked in the top three Liverpool hotels on TripAdvisor over the last decade, the hotel’s ability to bridge the gap between a hotel and home has made the aparthotel a firm favourite with business and travellers alike as it continues to scoop high-profile industry awards.

Explaining the significance of its most recent regional award win, Staybridge Suites Liverpool’s Hotel Manager Kirsten Jones said:

“To have been crowned Serviced Apartment of the Year for the fourth time is a huge honour, not just for the hotel but for Cycas Hospitality as a whole. It also demonstrates how hard our hotel team have worked to keep the property as relevant to today’s customers as those when we opened back in June 2008.

“Being singled out amongst our peers at a time when awareness of aparthotels and serviced apartments is at an all-time high is an incredible achievement and something that all our team can be extremely proud of.”

The fact that 90% of the people Cycas recruited when Staybridge Suites Liverpool opened back in June 2008 are still part of the Cycas family, including every GM, goes someway to demonstrating the hotel’s distinctive homely atmosphere that is so greatly valued by its loyal guests. Kirsten was herself part of the hotel’s opening team, starting as Guest Services Trainer and moving up through the ranks.
