Here at StedyChefs, we have a number of different and exciting opportunities available for everybody.
StedyChefs Catering Agency are a recruitment agency who supply relief Hospitality and Catering staff throughout the UK. At the helm of the agency is Director – Stephen Bygrave who has over 20 years’ experience within the industry.
In providing staff, the team at StedyChefs like to ensure that all standards are exceeding any expectations and that client satisfaction is to the maximum. This is done by vetting the best applicants, trial days and further training – if needed.
One day, the StedyChefs team were working hands-on with a client, which had a site of adults with learning difficulties and disabilities working alongside them. The team worked alongside the adults great and seen that they had huge potential in the catering industry.
Unfortunately, not long later – the provision had to be closed due to lack of funding and these adults had no other progressive provisions where they could carry on learning the skills that they had a passion for.
With seeing shocking figures that 94% of adults with disabilities being classed as unemployed, Stephen decided that with his and his staffing team’s experience – they could play a role in changing this. From there, StedyChefs Learning Centre was created.
Stephen has self-funded StedyChefs Learning Centre which consists of three large floors, each with a purpose. The first floor consists of the kitchens where the students will complete their practical work, the middle floor has a range of different rooms including areas that students can do their written work either independently or as a team, the top floor is a chill-out area which can help students regain their concentration or be considered as therapeutic.
StedyChefs have a full syllabus that the students follow – ensuring that they are learning each and every aspect of the trade. These skills can be taken on further into employment settings or alternatively used to improve independent living skills.
Students are consistently being rewarded for the hard work which they do by gaining certificates, trophies, medals and gaining constant recognition.
Over the next twelve months, a huge aim for StedyChefs is to continue to raise awareness towards what help and services are out there to ensure that users are reaching their full potential and capability. Another goal which has been set is expanding connections and ensuring that all local businesses are aware that StedyChefs are able to help their hospitality or catering business thrive.
Joining Knowsley Chamber of Commerce plays a huge role in the next steps for StedyChefs, with networking opportunities, advice and guidance – this will help in allowing StedyChefs to accomplish their targets.
