EVENT POSTPONED – THE 32ND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF KNOWSLEY CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY & COMMERCE

in light of the additional restrictions announced by Government this week, we have taken advice and reviewed the risks for hosting an event with circa 90 Chamber members just prior to Christmas and New Year period, and whilst last year’s AGM was held by Zoom, it is not the ideal alternative.

THEREFORE, TAKING EVERYTHING INTO CONSIDERATION, WE HAVE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THE AGM UNTIL SPRING 2022.

Paragraph 14 of the Articles of Association read: “The Chamber shall in each year hold a General Meeting as its Annual General Meeting in addition to any other meetings in that year and shall specify the meeting as such in the Notices calling it, and not more than fifteen months shall elapse between the date of one Annual General Meeting of the Chamber and that of the next.”

In accordance with the above, Members will receive 21 days’ notice of the Annual General Meeting, which will be held no later than 18 March 2022.  We hope that you agree that, under the current circumstances, that this is the best solution, and that you will be able to join us, just a little later than advertised, for the AGM, which will be held in the magnificent Knowsley Hall.
