The Forshaw Group helps make toy story a success

The Forshaw Group is thrilled to be helping to create happy memories for children across the UK, by being part of a donation of over 500 toys and gifts to disadvantaged families through the Family Action ‘Creating Happy Memories’ campaign.

Throughout the pandemic, many families have struggled to pay their bills and put food on the table, let alone provide their children with enriching toys and activities that shape and form their childhood.

Through the ‘Creating Happy Memories’ campaign, which called for toy and gift donations from all UK businesses, this will help to create new positive experiences that will strengthen family bonds after the pandemic.

The campaign was promoted by LV to its supplier partners, including The Forshaw Group, which donated £100 worth of toys to the appeal. The company selected the summer-related gifts from the campaign’s Amazon wishlist, including brand new footballs, colourful play sand, and beach toys. These were then packed and sent to five Family Action service centres across the UK, to ensure all children make some happy memories they can cherish.

This is not the first time The Forshaw Group has helped vulnerable children. Through the kind donations of its staff, the company supplied nearly 30 gifts to a Christmas hamper appeal in 2020. Struggling families across Liverpool, nominated by local schools and children’s services, received these gifts as festive hampers, to help support them over the festive period. Along with festive food and biscuits, toys were also provided, including a remote-control car, a mini drum kit, cosy slippers and pyjamas. These gifts were provided for families and their children aged from 5-16 years old, so that they had something to open on Christmas Day.

Managing director of The Forshaw Group, Liam Hanlon, commented: “Giving children and young people the opportunity to have a positive and happy childhood has never been more important than in the face of Covid-19.

“With so many having struggled throughout the pandemic, not to mention the effects this will have had on families, donating these gifts will go a long way to help these children. And with the lifting of restrictions, it will also provide the perfect opportunity for families to come together and create happy memories this summer and beyond.”
