The Success Plan does more than help with the numbers…

The Success Plan help small business owners make bold business decisions without the admin stress and hassle of organising business consultations, company formations, tax registrations, bookkeeping, expenses advice, self-assessments and year end accounts.

They are primarily an accountancy practice but they now offer even more in terms of business support – Business marketing strategy, comms, branding and events management.

Kelly Roskell started The Success Plan in late 2019 and has bigger plans for Success HQ (situated in the Prescot Centre), she says “We have the most amazing growth plan in place for the next 2-5 years and we want to help businesses with theirs too. Our aim is to fill the gap by creating a hub for those with a business idea, those just starting out or those looking for growth opportunities and support from trusted experts. We’ve also taken wellbeing into consideration and networking because it’s such a powerful aspect of business growth, especially after the last couple of years.”

With over 13 years Accountancy experience and specialising in contractor and CIS, company formations and accounts Kelly wanted to ensure that those looking at starting out as self-employed business owners got the best possible start. But within six months of setting up her business the pandemic hit and everyone’s lives just changed over night. The uncertainty was huge and it also became the busiest time for The Success Plan. Everyone needed advice on furlough, if there were grants available to them and what to include on self-assessment tax returns.

“The best thing about that time was the huge surge in people going self-employed, it was amazing seeing all of these businesses popping up, growing, giving back, supporting and absolutely smashing it. Being able to help people start their own business is an absolute joy. I know how crucial it is getting the right advice from the start, it takes away a lot of the uncertainty when first starting out in business. No-one wants to realise they got it wrong 12 months down the line and by then it may be too late. Good foundations make for good businesses, and there is room for everyone to succeed.”

If you’ve got an idea, looking for ways to grow your business or need some accountability – you can get free one to one support from our team of friendly experts. No need to book, just pop in to one of our drop-in clinic days at Success HQ, every first Tuesday of the month.
