Trustee Required – Centre 63

Are you looking for a rewarding voluntary role with a progressive charity based in Knowsley?

As a Trustee of Centre 63 you will be working with and assisting the CEO and Leadership Team to fulfil the aim and objectives of the organisation.

Jeane Lowe, CEO says “The good news is that we are in the process of recruiting someone with a background in Fundraising, however we are also looking to recruit new Trustees with experience in HR, Tendering, Business Development and/or Strategic Development.

“We are particularly keen to have a diversified Board, and therefore are looking for women who are familiar with the ethos of the voluntary sector and who can support us moving forward with the above.

Who can be a Trustee?

A Trustee must be at least 16 years old to be a trustee of a charity that is a company or a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO), or at least 18 to be a trustee of any other charity.

You must be properly appointed following the procedures and any restrictions in the charity’s governing document. You must not act as a trustee if you are disqualified under the Charities Act, including if you:

  • have an unspent conviction for an offence involving dishonesty or deception (such as fraud)
  • are bankrupt or have entered into a formal arrangement (e.g. an individual voluntary arrangement) with a creditor
  • have been removed as a company director or charity trustee because of wrongdoing
