Two Knowsley Chamber members have been recognised at a prestigious business awards this month. Wellbeing consultancy Ell & Dee and PR Communications Agency, Pink Media were among 13 awards winners at the ‘Celebrating Enterprising Women’ Awards in Liverpool’s glitzy Oh Me Oh My restaurant and bar.
Organised by Liverpool-based social enterprise The Women’s Organisation, the awards honoured the region’s most outstanding female-led business ventures, and illustrated the rising levels of start-ups being created throughout the Liverpool City Region by women.
One of the agencies involved in supporting local female entrepreneurs, Enterprise Hub, helped 5,685 people across the region in its initial programme, of which 62% (3,636) were women, proving that there is a real thirst for entrepreneurship among the women of Liverpool and the five other local boroughs.

Claire Morton picked up the Health & Wellbeing Business of the Year accolade for her Prescot-based Ell & Dee consultancy.
Since launching in 2017, her venture has grown from strength to strength, helping businesses and individuals across the country to realise their potential.
From working with major corporate brands like QVC to help improve their staff’s health and wellbeing, to hosting therapeutic retreats and personal development programmes for individuals, Ell & Dee is excelling in the world of health and wellbeing.
Claire said she is inspired by seeing how people change and grow as a result of their work with Ell & Dee, especially seeing how people’s lives change when they learn to build on their lives, improve relationships with others, make new friends and find their purpose.
Claire received her award at the event, compered by local personality and actress, Eithne Browne.
