As a family run business since, our employees are at the absolute heart of everything we do. We have an amazing team here at Central Group and are super proud that our average length of service sustains at around 12 years.

This week, two of our longest serving employee’s, Armature Winders, Alan and Alf retired after 76 combined years of service.

Alan joined the business when our founding owner, Mike Sutton set up the business in 1972.  His best friend Alfie was always around the business, attending social events and eventually become an employee himself in 2000.

They have seen many changes in the business during their service here and feel the business is currently the best it has ever been.  They have played a crucial part in such a compliment.
Alan and Alf told us they have particularly enjoyed our regular lunches and ice cream van visits, the endless supply of cakes and sweets but more than anything the laughs and love shared amongst the whole team every single day.

To mark the end of their service, we arranged a surprise get together, including ex-employees and friends of the business.  We brought in one of our favourite food vendors for a curry and there was plenty of cake on offer.

Alan and Alf were completely overwhelmed with their send off.

Central Group has been so blessed to have such amazing Winders and employees for all these years and we wish them both a very long, happy and health retirement.
