Alfred H Knight Has Achieved A King’s Award For Enterprise

North West based, family-owned business Alfred H Knight has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation.

As a leading provider of global, independent inspection and analytical services for the metals,
minerals, solid fuels and agricultural industries, Alfred H Knight (AHK) is one of 252 organisations
nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise. Announced today (Monday 6 May), the company has been acknowledged for its excellence in Innovation.

Awarded for its disruptive innovation of the digital transformation of complex inspection services in
Africa’s metals and minerals sector. Alfred H Knight developed the mobile technology solution, ‘In-Track’ ,
to digitise inspection services across global supply chains, enhancing data accuracy and operational
efficiency in real-time. The solution combines multiple technologies to deliver vast inspection data globally
and allow same-day data reconciliation, enabling advanced material tracking.

Established in 1881 by Alfred Henry Knight, the family-owned business, now operates in over 45 countries,
employing over 4500 globally. Its headquarters is based in Prescot, North West, UK is a leading employer
in the area with close to 800 laboratory and support function personnel across several sites.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed
last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II by
recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 58th year, is the most
prestigious business award in the country, with successful companies able to use the esteemed King’s
Awards Emblem for the next five years.
