AHK CHINA VISITS UK LABORATORIES

Daisy Deng, Coal and Coke and Agricultural Laboratory Manager, Jim Cao, Sample Preparation Manager and Nancy Liu, Business Support Supervisor, recently visited AHK’s Energy Services Laboratory and Sample Preparation facility, to gain a greater understanding of UK operations which they can use and foster within their new Energy Services Laboratory.

The first and primary stop of their visit was AHK’s sample preparation and laboratory facility in Dundonald, Scotland, where they met with Ken Hepburn, Business Technical Support Manager and the Energy Services team. Following this, they headed to the AHK Headquarters and John Knight Laboratory based in Prescot, England.

AHK MALAYSIA VISITS ENERGY SERVICES HEAD OFFICE IN SCOTLAND

AHK Malaysia team members, Russell Scrooby, Operations Manager and Allister Ali, Operations Supervisor, recently visited the UK to meet with Alfred H Knight’s key stakeholders. During their visit, they spent time at the sample preparation facility, located in Olympic Park and also received training on biomass sample preparation and laboratory techniques at their solid fuels laboratory.

Russell said about the trip, “It has been an amazing opportunity to experience the AHK network and gain a thorough understanding of the systems and company infrastructure. All AHK colleagues have been extremely welcoming and supportive and eagerly shared their vast experience with Biomass sampling, preparation and analysis with us. It has been an amazing opportunity”.

AHK SOUTHERN AFRICA VISIT CHINA

Jonas Kamonere, Business Development Manager for Southern Africa, visited China to attend the International FerroAlloyNet Chrome and Nickel Conference alongside Melody Luan, Senior Business Support Supervisor and Paul Fu, Senior Technical Manager.

 

While in China, Jonas had the opportunity to tour AHK China’s premier sample preparation facility and laboratory, visit a local port, and meet their client support team, which provided him with valuable insights into AHK China’s operations throughout the country.

Jonas said about his visit: “Thanks to AHK China for providing me with many great insights throughout the trip! Africa and China’s cross-border and cultural relationships can never be underestimated”.
