Chamber Members Alll About STEM are delighted to be organising a series of experience of the workplace events throughout March for our secondary schools in the Liverpool City Region. These Experience of the Workplace events are organised by All About Futures in partnership with the LCR Careers Hub, LCR BeMore and funded by UKSPF.
These six events will reach up to 900 students, 100 teachers/educators and include a follow-up parent & carer online session – giving you the opportunity to reach even more residents in the LCR.
Students will explore innovation in the Liverpool City Region through the advanced manufacturing and life sciences sectors, and the LCR freeport, with workshops designed to build students employability skills and knowledge (and highlight apprenticeship and technical routes too). Students will also be asked to complete pre and post event research/tasks related to your business/sector.
This is the perfect opportunity for employers of all shapes and sizes to reach students – inspiring and illuminating careers in your sector/business and making a lasting impact by giving them an experience of the workplace.
We need businesses to deliver workshops/presentations on the following dates at Liverpool Hope University, Eden Park Campus (L16 9JD):
- Monday 10th March
- Tuesday 11th March
- Wednesday 12th March
- Monday 24th March
- Tuesday 25th March
- Wednesday 26th March
Each event will have up to 180 students + teachers in attendance.
Your workshops would require you/your staff to be available from 9am – 3pm on the date(s). You do not need to be available for all dates.
We have availability for businesses to deliver either:
- 35-minute Snapshot session, repeated 6 times throughout the day
- 1 hour 10-minute Spotlight session, repeated 3 times throughout the day (limited availability)
All employers will be supported by us here at All About Futures to design and ensure the quality of your workshop – so please do not worry if this isn’t something you have delivered previously.
For more information or if you would like to support with the event, please contact michelle@allaboutstem.co.uk.
