At Anthony Davies Childhood Bereavement, we are a lived experience charity who are deeply committed to walking alongside families and professionals as they support young children—from below pre-school through primary school age, through the pain of significant loss.

We understand that grief in childhood can feel overwhelming, confusing, and often unspoken. That’s why our work is rooted in compassion, patience, and genuine care. Our aim is not only to provide guidance, but to gently empower parents, caregivers, and educators with the understanding and confidence they need to support a grieving child with sensitivity and love.

We also work closely with the parents of grieving children, particularly young widows and widowers, recognising that their healing is deeply connected to their child’s. Through this, we help foster meaningful peer-to-peer support networks, bringing together families who understand each other’s experiences and can offer comfort, connection, and strength in everyday life.

Through our range of child-centred, compassionate services, we strive to create safe spaces where children and their families feel seen, heard, and supported, helping them make sense of their feelings and begin to heal in their own time and in their own way.
