On the evening of Tuesday 26 November, a serious security incident occurred on a site within the industrial estate. A group gained unauthorised access by forcing entry through a gate, causing damage to CCTV equipment. A security guard on site was also briefly prevented from leaving by the individuals involved.
Merseyside Police responded promptly, resulting in six arrests, a positive outcome amid a concerning situation.
This is the third similar incident in recent weeks in the wider area, involving unauthorised access to business premises for the purpose of setting up temporary encampments.
Businesses in the area are urged to remain vigilant, particularly over the festive period. Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the police to ensure swift action. Businesses are also advised to review security measures, ensuring CCTV and other systems are fully operational.
