Delivered over two days in local community venues, this practical course has been designed for anyone considering a career in adult social care. Whether someone is unemployed, starting their employment journey, changing careers, returning to work, or simply wants to find out more about the sector, the Academy provides a supportive introduction to working in care.
What participants will gain:
- A free, two-day Introduction to Social Care course
- Training delivered by experienced professionals from an active care charity
- An understanding of what it’s really like to work in adult social care
- Knowledge of person-centred care, communication, safeguarding, health and safety, and professional practice
- Practical employability support, including CV guidance and interview preparation
- Mock interview experience with constructive feedback
- Information about current and future employment opportunities within the care sector
- Insight into career pathways and progression opportunities
The Academy is designed to build confidence, develop employability skills, and help people take their first steps towards a rewarding career in care.
There is no cost to attend, and at this stage we are simply seeking expressions of interest ahead of our September programme.
If you know someone who may benefit from this opportunity, please share this email with them or encourage them to register their interest by contacting us.
Together, we can help local people gain valuable skills, increase their confidence, and access meaningful employment within the care sector.
